Marklund Wasmond Center is thrilled to announce our cherished annual Community Gift Opening event, happening this year on Saturday, December 20, 2025. 

Volunteers will pair up with residents to assist them in opening their gifts, generously donated by members of the community. 

Schedule: 

9:45 a.m.: Volunteers arrive and check in 

10:00 a.m.: Volunteers gather in the assisted pod for gift opening 

10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.: Gift opening takes place 

12:00 p.m.: Volunteers help staff transport residents back to the pod, clean up, and depart 

Please ensure there are two volunteers per resident. Note: Young children should be supervised and remain with your party at all times or in your designated area during your visit. This event is the perfect opportunity to invite friends and family to volunteer alongside you and share the joy of Marklund! If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out via phone or email.
