Allen+Pepa Architects' Design Unveiled for Elk Grove Village Bridge
Allen+Pepa Architects worked on this bridge for Elk Grove Village. The pre-assembled bridge structure was just set into place on October 14. The lead engineers are EEI and Benesch Engineering. After analyzing options, our architectural team created a unique 3-D model of the structure and focused on designing railings, lighting, and decorative concrete.
The three pieces are the switchback from the new business district, the distinct bridge over Arlington Heights Road, and a sweeping ramp into Busse Wood. The steel columns resemble trees with integrated lighting. It provides pedestrian and bike rider safety and will create a strong public image.
