Elgin Area Chamber announces attorney Steven A. Migala as 2026 board chair
The Elgin Area Chamber of Commerce (EAC) is pleased to announce that attorney Steven A. Migala has been elected as the 2026 Chair of the EAC board of directors.
“We welcome Steve to his leadership position as chair of our board,” said Carol Gieske, CEO/President, Elgin Area Chamber of Commerce. “He has been a valued member of our board since 2023, collaborating with board members to continue the strength and growth of the chamber’s membership, programs, and services.”
A resident of Elgin, Migala is a Shareholder at Lavelle Law, Ltd. with offices in Schaumburg and Chicago. He oversees its transactional practice groups, focusing much of his practice on representing banks, businesses, and their owners in connection with their legal needs, including general corporate representation, mergers and acquisitions, succession planning, commercial real estate, and commercial lending matters.

Migala graduated from Bradley University with an undergraduate degree in finance, obtained his law degree from the University of Illinois College of Law, and served as an editor of its Law Review. He is a member of various bar associations and previously chaired the Chicago Bar Association’s Corporation and Business Law Committee. He also previously served an eight-year term on Elgin’s Planning and Zoning Commission.
